84th Anniversary Celebration Mixer
Nearly 84 years ago, a voluntary association of 39 business people officially registered the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce as a nonprofit organization.
According to the first Articles of Incorporation, “the beginning purpose of organizing a Chamber of Commerce was the power to provide and maintain suitable rooms for the conduct of its business, to acquire, preserve, and disseminate valuable business information, and to promote the interest of trade and increase the facilities of commercial transactions."
Since that day on July 27, 1937, the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce has played a vital role in the economic development, education, cultural and traditional influence, and the development of cross-border relations, and much more for the City of Brownsville and those who call it home.
We are proud of all the things our organization has accomplished and thank all those who have devoted their skills and passions to working, volunteering, and being a part of this organization.
In order to commemorate this milestone and celebrate our membership, we cordially invite our members to join us for the 84th Anniversary Celebration Mixer taking place on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at the Historic Alonso Building.
